Law Enforcement of the Year Award
“Each year law enforcement officers provide exceptional service to the citizens of Clearfield County. These men and women, while on-duty and off-duty, show extraordinary valor, uncommon integrity, and give back to their communities. It is only right to take a moment to recognize these officers for their hard work and dedication.”
The nominee must be a sworn Clearfield County police officer below the rank of chief. Nominations should be made for police endeavors that occurred between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022. Nominations are accepted from anyone having knowledge of the nominee’s actions. This includes members of law enforcement, elected officials, community leaders, and interested citizens of Clearfield County. Nominations must include a statement of the specific circumstances involving police performance.
Nominations will be accepted electronically from law enforcement officers via hand delivery, fax, mail, or e-mail directly to the District Attorney. Nominations must be received by the District Attorney no later than March 17, 2023.
The Award will be presented at the during National Police Week (May 14-20, 2023).

Each year persons and businesses in Clearfield County show incredible support for our law enforcement officers and agencies. This assistance and aid are truly appreciated by the men and women that protect our communities every day. As a gesture of their gratitude, the District Attorney has created the Clearfield County Civilian of the Year Award to recognize those persons and businesses that truly Back the Blue.
The nominee must be a citizen of Clearfield County or a business that operates in Clearfield County. Nominations should be made for endeavors that occurred between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022. Nominations are accepted from law enforcement officers having knowledge of the nominee’s actions. Nominations must include a statement of the specific circumstances involving support for law enforcement.
