Clearfield County’s Jail Recycling Site CLOSES PERMANENTLY
The County recycling site located at the county jail has been temporarily closed these past few
months due to COVID; which prevented manning of the site by county jail work release inmates.
That temporary status has now become permanent as we recently learned that due to other non
COVID reasons use of inmates to man our site will no longer be a possibility. As such, without the
funds to replace the labor force, the recycling site located at the county jail must be permanently
closed effective immediately.
While site closure is an inconvenience we do have alternative recycling options for the public. For
more details on these alternative recycling options please call the Clearfield County Solid Waste
Authority at 765-5149
